STORE POLICY

The Book Exchange DOES NOT purchase inventory.

The Book Exchange IS NOT an even trade store.

Payments are expected at time of check-out.

All books brought in will be given a value based upon type, condition, author, etc. and the customer will receive in-store credit in that amount. Prices placed on books are at the discretion of The Book Exchange and are not negotiable.

Values placed on books do not include tax.

The Book Exchange does not accept magazines or material of a pornographic nature.

The Book Exchange reserves the right to reject any books brought in and not extend credit for rejected books.

Customers who have in-store credit will receive half off their purchases as long as they have adequate in-store credit.

Customers with credit  must ALWAYS  PAY FOR AT LEAST ½ of the total purchase price with cash or check. Payment is expected at time of purchase.

Example: Customer with adequate credit wishes to purchase a $5.00 book. Customer must pay ½ price at time of purchase-$2.50 plus tax and $2.50 will be deducted from his/her credit amount.

Sales tax amount is not deducted from Customer’s credit amount.

Customers who do not have adequate in-store credit must pay ½ the total purchase price plus the balance of insufficient credit.

Customers may return their books for in-store credit so long as the books aren’t marked “No Return.”

WE DO NOT  TRADE!  Customer may not bring in “x” amount of books or “x” value in books and expect to take out same. Customer ALWAYS has to pay at least ½ the marked book price.

Customers without in-store credit must pay the full marked price.  The Book Exchange does not accept “IOU’s” or Rainchecks.

Several books throughout the store are marked “No Return” along side the store’s stamp and book price. These books MAY NOT be returned for credit.  Please check your purchases before checkout as all sales are final.

Half price credit benefits do not extend to books priced less than $1.00.  Half price credit does not extend to books already marked down from original Book Exchange book price.

The Book Exchange reserves the right to ask anyone acting in an unacceptable manner to leave the premises.

The Book Exchange also reserves the right to permanently ban a customer.

Thieves will be reported.
